Hey, y’all!

I wanted to draw these guys for a while, but I decided to show y’all the WIP before the final product comes.

So, basically, I planned some dolphin species that are native to the Unknown World.

In the background is a glitter (glimmer?) orca and a blue-shaded dolphin. In front is a piscis dolphin and a galactic dolphin.

The design for the piscis dolphin is inspired by the artworks and designs of dolphins/cetaceans that are part fish, or have fish-like attributes. I was also inspired by half mammal, half fish hybrids like the mermaid and hippocampus. Those creatures were the main basis of how I wanted to draw my half dolphin, half fish creature. For this gal, her fish parts are mainly based off the purple queen anthias fish and a little bit of angelfish and goldfish.

Galactic dolphins were inspired by the gemstone dolphins of a Barbie movie and sparkly dolphins in media.

The other two were just random ideas.

How they came to be will come later, as well as how these species behave in the ocean.

Just enjoy some dolphin art before I go back to doing fanart. I wanted to get this off my chest.
