When I saw Chris for the first time, I swore I saw him from somewhere else.

Chris is so much cooler and a much better character then Sora.

Why? Everyone have to save his ass, when Sora can simply destroy the whole Organization XIII. I know he didn't destroy it whole, but in the most part.

Because he's got a lovable personality and his backstory and dilemma is very mature and done very well.Β Someone being super strong and destroying things does not a great character make.

I won't say that for me Chris doesn't have a personality (he has, I know). I just can't stand him as a whole - he is totally useless, acts like damsel in distress and he's still like "Sonic! Sonic!" He has not actually done something big, he just was there.
Sora is totally different example. Maybe he didn't have a tragic backstory, but his current state isn't that bright. I can truly say he's the true light of this series, because after all this things, that happened to him, (losing best friends and the whole world) even one simple thing can make him smile. And he shares this smile with everyone he meets, leaving only good memories about him. Also it's hard to find a friend like him today. I mean he didn't gave up, he was traveling across all these worlds to find his friends and he even sacrificed himself to save Kairi.
Could Chris be able to sacrifice himself? I don't think so.

That's not even true.Β There are several times in the show that Chris has saved Sonic's life or has helped Tails and the others out of tough situations.Β He's done lots of big things.Β 1. He's saved Sonic's life several times starting in episode 1, 2. He's helped Tails get power rings for Sonic when Tails was unable to, 3.Β He's provided a safe and comfortable place to live for Sonic and co in this big unfamiliar new world, 4.Β He's promised to help them find the Chaos Emeralds so they can return to their own world (which he does help).Β 5. Chris helped Big find Froggy and the Chaos Emerald in the Sonic Adventure story,Β 5.Β Chris convinced Shadow to save the Earth and remembered Maria's true wish (I know Amy did that in SA2 but her role was so rushed, forced, and didn't feel natural at all.Β Here it feels much more natural because they give Shadow plenty of time to bond with Chris and Chris' speech is much more convincing than Amy's (That and Chris is a 12 year old Human with blue eyes and a king loving personality like Maria) so honestly it's a huge improvement having him be the one to do it, and in Season 3 he helps build things, fights alongside them directly, gives Tails someone else Tech savvy to talk to and bond with, and shows Cosmo that she can't go off doing things on her own because it could lead to bad things happening.Β He has done PLENTY to contribute to the team and has proven himself to be an invaluable friend to them.
So no Chris is not useless nor does he not do anything/not contribute to the show and he isn't a freaking Mary Sue/Stu like people love to claim because the story and characters don't revolve around him and he has gotten complaints from characters in the show when he was acting selfishly.

Don't you know only female characters are allowed to be emotional or moral support, or the mother figure, silly? Boys and men need to be physically big, powerful, or strong. Choosing not to directly go out into the field, or fight in the field, anything less, or god forbid, choosing to contribute in the more domestic or emotional catagory, means you're weak and won't be able to put bread on the table. Unless you're a women, because it's acceptable not to expect more from them.(suddenly it's making more sense the more I think about it)
