I get the feeling that when the writers wrote Sentry like this static.comicvine.com/uploads/o⦠it was there way of saying "Just like Superman we are portraying the ultimate unstoppable force for good archetype through panels like these". I remember seeing a script for this page somewhere where the writers had a conversation that went something like that or at least along those lines but I can't seem to find it.

Technically, Hakai can also destroy the very soul of the victim too. Sentry just reduces his victim to mere atoms but not including the soul. You can see in the text that Absorbing Man may come back after Sentry reduced him to atoms. But I did chuckle at that joke you made.

Oh okay. Just wondered. Though, one flaw I do see is that Hakai can be sort of blocked which Zamasu did in the manga by using Mai as a shield while Goku used that move (which was imperfect as he used it.)

It won't work on everyone. If Superman has survived matter destroying and ANTI-MATTER attacks from the Anti-Monitor, then I don't think Sentry can atomize Superman so easily.

It's just how he was handled didn't go out so well for Marvel, being so overpowered when suffering mental illnesses that he can barely keep his powers in check... and fighting an evil side of himself that we don't even know it's true origins.
