It's hard for me to explain exactly what I do to get poses. I listen to music and let my mind wander. When something awesome happens I have my pencil in hand to sketch like a devil and get it down on paper before it disappears.

It's a dinky little tutorial. But it shows what I do most of the time from red to purple to black.

This isn't only specific to dogs and wolves, either. You can do this with people, too.
