he's possessed a demon (aka Azdaemon, i think its spelt) that can fully take over him if he were to loose 'control'. the plate sealed the demon with him...i dont think it controls him, jurain has enough willpower to supress him.
its a long story really, how jurain came about. sad too. you should talk to kat sometime, (even thought shes rarely on) and ask mah dear XD just to confirm!
