...this pretty much sums up my relationship with JL:GL. There are bits of it I like and other bits......not so much. Not thrilled with Ice's new costume.
I'm not worried about Jaime. He's a cash cow and you don't kill off a cash cow while it's still giving milk. You might fake its death for a bit just to scare the other cows into obeying you, just to show them that nobody is safe, but you don't actually kill it.
Yes, I would make a terrible farmer. I'm aware.
Not a huge fan of this comic, but whatever.

It's okay. Just wait an issue and Ice's costume will be different. It's not like the art is CONSISTENT or anything.

To be fair, Jaime hasn't been talking in broken Spanish in Generation Lost.
I'm also not worried about Jaime's death--even if somehow he's completely dead, he's hanging out with TWO time-travellers.
And I feel about Ice's costume change about the same way that I felt about her origin change and her character in general--absolutely nothing. I just never really warmed up to her, if you'll pardon the pun. I do think that costume looks better than the leg-warmers though--it's really hard to look ridiculous when you're hanging around grown men who wear tight spandex and their undies over them, but by God she pulled it off with those things.

Yeah that comic is a bit of a roller coaster in quality. I'm hoping it was like when Batman "died" and he's really lost in time, Booster will travel back, find Jaime watching the American revolution or something.
Nobody in the comic shop I go to- not the owners or the customers- believe they are killing Jaime off for good.
The only reason I started reading JLGL was for BlueBeetle

lol this is kind of how I imagine that going as well.
Though I have to say, I do find it kind of sad when I find random fan-comics that sound more like the JLI than they do in Generation Lost. Though I do like the IDEA of Booster as a leader...in theory. If he weren't written by Judd Winnick.

I miss when nobody respected you too, Boost. Back then Ted was still alive, Jaime was living a happy not-shot-in-the-head life, and Ice was still a gosh darn snow princess!

I haven't been reading the series, and I'm sorta glad; I've been hearing pretty mixed things about it.
Also, I kinda like Ice's previous costume, in all its eighties legwarmer tank top glory. I always thought it kinda practical for someone from Coldy McColdLand.

Oh, I loved Ice's tank top/legwarmer outfit too. It was so unique and fitting. It worked really well for her.
