Yeah, i'm reading Babs/Batgirl now, and since while i wasn't sure before, the fact that the woman tells Jim Gordon that "Batgirl is back" means both Stephanie and Cassandra are retconned.
I the idea behind it is that DC wanted the Batgirl in the comics that everyone knows from the cartoons. That on it's own isn't a bad thing. To me Barbara is the one true Batgirl because of BTAS, but i loved Stephanie in the role too. Steph always felt like a Batgirl Beyond version of Barbara's Batgirl.
