I still maintain that that mullet was the most evil thing the Phoenix was responsible for.All characters belong to Marvel.

Phoenix. Evil? I'd go more with cosmic force and maybe eldritch abomination. But ya that's evil.

Yeah, at the beginning of this event, so earth would have an actual reason to be afraid. Otherwise, the Phoenix's resume is a little light on big-time evil. (It ate one sun. The Silver Surfer did way worse stuff than that and everyone's cool with him.)

I was refering to the original Dark Pheonix Saga. Though I do think Rachel should've said something in that meeting with the rest of the JGS staff Logan had. Personally I blame this whole event on Cable. As far as Silver Surfer goes I'm pretty sure he's hated by mos alien races though my cosmic history is a bit fuzzy. Personally I feel the whole event was contrived.

To be fair, Dark Phoenix came about because of the manipulations of Mastermind. Phoenix was a force for good until Mastermind twisted her head around and drove her crazy.

I don't remember Galactus being in the original Dark Phoenix saga.

It's part of his origin. Either that or he and the cosmic turkey used to date. Check the Marvel Database if you don't believe me.

Kind of an all-encompassing "huh". It's hard to really track who and what the Phoenix is because each time somebody uses it in a story it completely changes in its nature and origins.

Yeah but it looks like we won't have to deal with it anymore until the next retcon.

I thought the only planet with life forms that died when she ate the sun was that planet of broccoli people.
Why Cable?

That depends on how many inhabited planets were in that galaxy. His actions in X-sanction.
He got second hand information then tried to kill the Avengers. He could have just told the Avengers they were going to botch things for earth.

Cable has Batman levels of paranoia.

No I think his paranoia exceeds that. Though now that I think about it why doesn't he go back in time and prevent M-day? I've never been sure how time travel works in Marvel. Do they go by DBZ rules or Sound of Thunder Rules?

Because it didn't happen in his timeline. And travelling back in time seems to create alternate universes, and occasionally alter the timeline. It seems a bit of a crapshoot as to which happens.

That's one of the many things about AvX that just bugs me. The Phoenix has come to Earth many times, and never once did the Avengers give a crap. Now all of a sudden they've got all of these anti-Phoenix plans and plots and whatnot, when most of the time, the Phoenix has been a good guy?
I wish Marvel Comics's writers actually read their own company's backlog.

I just wish that Marvel wouldn't crap on their past. AvsX - cool visually, but ridiculous in terms of plot. One More Day - an abomination. Superior Spider-Man - if possible, an even bigger abomination, that just wouldn't work if you consider how used to body swapping, telepathy and shapeshifting the Marvel Universe is supposed to be.
