This is a scene from chapter 5 of my Green Mile fanfic, inspired by Disney's Mulan. In it, my OC, Bobbie-Jo, makes a decision to disguise herself as a man in order to help her ailing father, Paul, with his job on death row. What do you think of my skills on darkening the atmosphere for this picture?

Youβre off to a good start in mood lighting
This is usually my method(I understand that you use MS paint for this): What I do is I usually color in the principal colors first, then I make a new layer on top and I use Multipy mode for the mood lighting
