These are a couple of new OCs for my Willy Wonka fanfic.
Eugene and Claire Simmons are a couple who were once close with Wendy's (my main OC) parents, Warren and Wanda. Eugene used to work with Warren as inventors and merchants. But after Wanda died, Warren reluctantly dismissed the business with Eugene in order to care for Wendy. However, Warren promised to keep in touch with Eugene whenever anything came up. One day, Willy invited Warren and Mr. Wilkinson to go to a mystical place called Loompaland, where Willy heard of a tribe of little people who lived in fear of dreadful monsters there. Warren and Mr. Wilkinson decided to let a then 13-year-old Wendy stay with Eugene and his wife, Claire, as the trip to Loompaland would be quite dangerous for a young lady. Wendy was at first excited, but then she found that neither Eugene nor Claire liked any kind of dessert, and the interior of their home was very old-fashioned and gray; thus, Wendy had a hard time adjusting her stay with them, and she missed her father and uncle terribly. Eugene also didn't have trust in Willy, because of how eccentric he was in terms of personality and candies. Things were hit even harder for Wendy when Mr. Wilkinson arrived to the Simmons house two days earlier than expected with an urgent note for her to come to the factory. When she got to the factory, Wendy was devastated to learn that her father, Warren, had been killed and eaten by a Wangdoodle in Loompaland.
Overall, Eugene and Claire are nice people but they still grief over Wanda's death and the facts that Eugene no longer worked with Warren and doesn't always trust Willy.
