here: sta.sh/013l57134fbl its a 30 min. over paint I did for one of the artists here. Ive wanted to show her how she can use certain tools in photoshop to get better looking colors. Thats psd file, with layers intact. Its basically how I paint my own stuff too. Except, I need at least 20h to achieve Samus level

Hi there, I noticed in a lot of your processes you sometimes flip the canvas round so that the picture is horizontal, I just wondered if there was a reason for this, does it help you see mistakes? Β I've been using your step by steps to improve my colouring, they're so useful

Ever posted a drawing of yours and got harsh critique? Mistakes others pointed out which you can't notice?
While you are working on a painting, your brain gets used to what you see. It will fix mistakes for you. If you flip your canvas you will get a fresh view at what you see.
Mistakes are easier to notice and fixes will be done.Β

I love these WIP images, because it's really nice to see how the portrait idea starts out, and then becomes more accentuated and life breathed into the character.
