It looks like you had a lot more fun at the Halloween Party than we did. My daughter and I went on September 14th, the first night, and it rained to beat hell for three of the five hours. We waited on the hub for the fireworks an extra forty minutes due to the delay and when they were over we started walking to get a spot for the parade, along with a throng of other people, and the PAC crew cut us off. I couldn't believe it. No delay on the parade (we found out later from a parade/show manager that the parade was going out no matter what without a delay) so we ended up behind fencing with three cast members sitting in front of us. My daughter got some pictures but I wasn't in a position to. At least the Barbossa costume was ready by then but the castmember wearing it didn't have a lot of practice time before going out in it! I really missed not seeing the headless horseman and the lights on Main Street were turned off at Midnight so didn't get any pictures 
Don't think I'm going back to WDW in September again. Have done so for years but it isn't worth it any longer. The parks had a lot of guests, the weather was horrific and touring was limited. Extra hours at The Animal Kingdom ended up being close to worthless due to the rain shutting most everything down, then the deluge at The Studios caused a bunch of us to just give up and take buses back to the resort. The problem was the lines were backed up and it took an hour or more just to get a bus. I was ready to get a cab!

Awww, bummer! Yeah, I read about the 14th washout on the DIS boards...sorry your night wound up 'Not So Dry' instead of Not So Scary.
Our treat-secret: They loaded up our bags just before the end of the night right across from Splash Mt. entrance. That area of the park had really cleared out after the 2nd parade, and they were filling everyone who came by to the brim.
I have to admit, most of the fun came from running around in cosplay...
