Description
This manipulation is based on a photo of Sari taken by her brother in 2011, featuring an outfit inspired from Tomb Raider Legend. The photo formed Sari's deviation Lara Croft jump and I've been wanting to make something with it for ages, because it's such a great action pose and I think of it as one of her classics.Basically I've extracted and edited Sari, and put her against a new background made from two of my own photos. One provided the basic scenery (flipped to better match her pose), and the other contributed some nice sky. I've tried to make it look like she's jumping down off a low cliff edge - to dish out some hurt, obviously. To try and get her to fit into the scene convincingly, I brightened her up a lot and added a sunlight effect, especially on her skin (she was in shade in the original photo). There was a lot of other editing too, to try and bring out detail and generally sharpen things up.
PS: Actually I also used the photo once before, namely on the cover of the smash hit Xbox videogame Codename Saricroft . Check it out!

I love how this turned out :3 This feels a bit of classic for me too Even though I was ok with this photo back then because I knew the camera wasnt the best, the original is very nostalgic of course, this is such a nice edit, brings the picture out as it should :3 I like to have proper light and sharpness now and it is lovely to see that fixed in this edit, it is much livelier too. The background fits here too, gives a much better story to the pose. And the make up looks much better, I used to put very little back then. Thank you for this edit :3

Glad you like it so much Sari! In regard to the original photo, I think the camera itself was probably ok, but the bright sky caused a rather short exposure which made you underexposed. Actually that was a problem for me because it made you really grainy, and I had to counter that to be able to show you this big.
In regard to your make-up looking better, I think that's mainly because of the lighting boost and larger image size, helping to make things more contrasty and defined, especially your eyes and eyebrows. I wasn't sure about your lip colour, or even whether you were wearing lipstick or not, so I just took my best guess for how it should look in the new lighting, and kept it conservative. Hope that came out ok!

Hey, what's a two month delay between friends? There was one person who waited almost three years before replying! Now that's what I call a snappy conversation!
