I don't plan on doing much art this year, but I want to at least celebrate this Year of the Dragon with Mashin Hero Wataru fanart.

I honest really love the second episode of the first season. It had such a different tone than most the earlier episodes. I adore the art direction and that the main conflict had Wataru solve a puzzle by thinking creatively. It still had an obligatory mech fight against a silly minor villain named Schwarvinegar, but it's one of my favorite episodes to revisit.

I'm not sure if these dragon were meant to be actual characters this early in the show's development, or were just meant to be thematic stone set pieces, but I think they look really cool. Since lore states that Seiryu is the oldest of the 7 Divine Dragons, and Sekiryu might as well be a fraternal twin, I took some creative liberties and gave them more points to their antlers. Maybe, I'll also give them beards as well if I revisit this.
