The bright warm summer has come to an end. The trees let go of their dried and dead leaves and frightened animals prepare for survival as the dark and cold winter slowly conquers the land.

The photo near Meschenbach with view to Rabenäußig on the opposite hill (Thuringia, Germany) was taken last winter. This is not how Germany looks today. But I thought that it perfectly fits to the mood at the end of October.
