Description A couple of months ago I posted an experiment in one point perspective entitled "Internal Labyrinth of the Subconcious Mind". This is the same image, only colourised using GIMP.

OMG that quick, well done you. The image looks stunning and complicated.

magigrapix In reply to DeviantGrace [2013-06-21 02:27:11 +0000 UTC]

It was complicated. Each panel was individually colourized, shaded and textured.

If you see the original pencil drawing that I did (which I have also posted under the same name), you will see how much work went into it.

OMg that is a lot of work. Worth it though.

Thankyou very much, it was a Herculean effort, it took about a month to complete, with each section being individually sectioned, coloured, shaded and textured.

M.C. Escher inspired? Really cool.

Yes, Escher was one of my artistic inspirations since my teenage years, also a big influence for this piece of art was the classic movie "Labyrinth", I've seen that over 50 times at least.

That's neat, don't think I've seen that one.

It is the movie starring Jennifer Conelly, David Bowie and a whole lot of Jim Henson puppets. It has humour, music, interesting characters and full of imagination.
