Star Allies has brought out some of the best of the series, I think...
Marx has learned the power of friendship, but now that friendship is going to hurt him in the worst of ways. Angst. Angst is everywhere.

I agree with both of these statements. Though my favorite is still Crystal Shards for nostalgic reasons, I still think Star Allies might be the best game in the series so far.
And yes, the little grape has discovered friendship, but also angst. Somebody hurt his friend.
