Sugo stared at their latest opponent
A tall, angry foe, but also a former friend
Wolfrik's cries echoed in his ears
But he didn't register what the hunter had said
This was a tough call, and a very dangerous situation

Sugo was snapped out of his stupor by Toby
tugging on his cheek fur
He set Toby down and kneeled so he was eye to eye with his son
This was too dangerous a situation for him to be in
Admittedly Sugo never anticipated such a threat
He told Toby to stay with Uncle Keni
While he figured out what to do about Zix

Suddenly Toby burst into a run
Away from his dad and Keni
and into the battlefield
You see, Toby had been listening to Wolfrik's cries
and though he didn't understand them
He knew what was going on
Zix's was upset, and Wolfrik wanted her to stop
Toby hoped his daddy knew what to do
but it didn't seem like he knew what Toby did

So, as scary as everything was, Toby ran toward Zix
The cries of his dad echoed behind him
He dodged the other combatants facing against the mighty dragon
He jumped as far as he could, and landed on Zix's lower belly
Tears of fear streamed down his face as he held on to her scales

A hug, that's what helped make him feel better, so why not her?

(Sorry if this seems a bit much)
