Description Another original design that I had been wanting to bring to life for some time now. I was hoping to find a name for them, but that never happened so I'm simply going with 'creature' for now.

He stands at about 11 inches tall and measures about 17 inches long. He's made of minky and while this one has felt eyes new Creatures will have machine embroidered ones. He has a full wire armature which makes him fully posable as pictured. Although he is pictured standing on two legs in one picture be can't actually do that on his own, his tail is propping him up against the wall ahah.

Not for sale, he's staying with me!

How much would this little guy cost? (I want to call him Foxhorn, but it doesn't seem to fit... He just reminds me of a fox in a way)

I don't have a set price for him yet, but he's probably going to be around $200 since the wiring makes him pretty complex to make

May I just ask: what guage of wire do you use for the armature? I want to try armature in my plushies too ^_^

thanks for your time!

I used 18 gauge, which was brutal to work with but makes for a very stable plush! xD

Awww it's so cute! And I love the poses you gave it. It seems pretty flexible... how did you build it with the armature inside?

MagnaStorm In reply to Sohym [2013-01-21 02:45:00 +0000 UTC]

He was sewn like a regular plush, then before stuffing him I left a wide opening in his back seam and slid the armature inside of him through there.

Awww so cute! How about 'Karyole' for a species name? (I like thinking of species and creatures too, and I never seem to run out of odd words to use as names |3). I like how poseable he is too, makes for some adorable poses!

wow, super neat! I would love to doodle him sometime.

I wish I could figure out how to use wire on plushies too o:

MagnaStorm In reply to Oomles [2013-01-21 12:03:07 +0000 UTC]

if you do draw him I'd love to see!

Wire isn't -too- difficult to work with. Just sew the plush, then measure the wire and cut it to fit the part you want wired, secure the ends(I wrap them in masking tape), stick it in and stuff the plush afteward! Honestly the hardest part is getting it inside the plush lol
