Description This one turned out to be a little different than I was planning at the beginning but it seems not bad, kind of cool

The scene is created and rendered in Vue 9. I used Blender to model icy shape. Creation took about 8 hours and plus 11 hours to render the scene.

I spent additional 3 hours for post work using GIMP. Mostly worked on the sea. I was a Photoshop guy but this year, I said "enough is enough" regarding Adobe's pricing politics which I find confusing and not fair and then moved to GIMP. It was a really big culture shock, I'm slowly recovering

GIMP is not as good as Photoshop when we consider algorithms used for image manipulation and Photoshop is faster. If you can live with it, GIMP is an amazing piece of software. I keep using it and love it. GIMP's Tablet support is very good for my taste

Now, credits:

Shark model is purchased from Daz3D. It's a very good and detailed model but I had to create new materials from scratch to take advantage of Vue's subsurface scattering.

Yacht model comes with Vue 9.

Figure on the yacht is a Daz3D model.

I used two photos from Sxc.hu for post work:

1. For detailing the sea:

2. For tinting the sea:

And you can see the raw render here to compare with this post worked one:

By the way, Vue 9 seems quite capable of producing an image like this one you see here without need any post work but simply I'm not there yet Working on it and hopefully I'll understand Vue 9 better, soon

I'd love to but I work on Vue's Scene Graph and trying to figure it out I hope that I find a way to create interaction in between objects. For example, think about the shark swimming in the sea and the water is not reacting the shark's movement, isn't it ugly and dull? If I get the water surface to conform the shark's geometry and direction of movement, that would be great. I'll see what can i do Reading the manual

Bloody foam... Good idea

Scene Graph is something like an extension to Vue's Function Editor. It allows us dynamically control any object in the scene using their properties. Take a look at this: [link]
