How much ammo does it have and what rounds are there?

The drum magazine holds maybe 20-40 rounds if I recall. In rifle mode, 20mm solid slugs and Sabot rounds are used to take down foes from afar. At closer ranges, buckshot and fragmentation rounds are used during shotgun mode.

Normal guns have recoil too, and that of railguns doesn't have to be especially powerful.

Glad you like it! It's definitely a cross between auto shotguns and sci fi railguns, so good eye there.

An excellent choice, throw in some boulder punches and the undead will have no chance!

i would just like to highlight that the magazine has a smiley face on it. Future Bad Company?
Ps i wish more people knew more about the wad that carries the pellets out of the barrel, it would stop the annoying arguments online that shotguns can't be supressed.

Yes, the grooves to lighten the drum mag do look like smileys, don't they? XD

I don't understand how you can combine a Shotgun and a Railgun.
Also, the shells in the loader seem to be indented, which I assume means they're shotgun shells?
Is it a hybrid? Where it fires like a normal gun, and is assisted by the rails? I dunno how that would work (since the projectile actually needs to ride the rails to get propulsion). But a gaussgun should work.

Yeah, in the drum there are buckshot style canisters, as opposed to regular gunpowder-filled shotgun shells.
The weapon propels the shell (or any other projectile loaded) outward. The buckshot ball bearings also fly out at great speeds as they leave the canister/shell.
It's not a dual stage weapon, where they might use magnetic forces to accelerate normal gunpowder bullets/ projectiles forward.

Does the shell separate, thus unleashing the buckshot? Or?

There's a series of segmented wedges on the front end of each shell, which break off several milliseconds after the entire shell has left the 'barrel' of the weapon. This creates a gap at the front. The momentum carries all the ball bearings forward.
