Hi guys, here I got something for ya to see, this is the first modal I have painted in I think four years and it's everyone's favorite hellhound Loona. I found the modal on Etsy from one of the many sellers on there and instantly fell in love with it and the funny thing is that if you look at all my past modals I have never painted really anything in white and grey as the main colors and the two hardest colors to paint are white and yellow so I basically had to learn a few new skills to do this miniatures. Here is the list of paints Is used and how I did this miniature.

Primer: Gloss Black Acrylic-Polyurethane Surface Primer

The process:

After priming the modal and looking through some videos on Youtube and on some painting forums, I decided the best way to do this for me was to go from black to white, leaving the clothes alone I painted them in two layers of dark grey to start with then two layers of granite grey then transitioned to the white, save for her hair. With her fur coat ready to receive it's pattern I proceeded to apply the dark grey to her back, mid-upper tail, cheeks and ears, plus a thin layer to her hair again before doing another thin layer of the granite grey. The next part was tackling the black clothes white I did with a small brush, cleaned up her collar and her facial details plus her earrings and black pin stripping around the large portions of flowing fur on her tail for depth. For her shirt I went with the award blue which was the closest color I had and amazingly it was a perfect match which was an awesome surprise. The next portion required that I focused on the base next so that when it was time to use the Nuln Oil it was already prepped for it. The base went through the same steps as Loona from primer to granite grey, once that was dried the base then received a loose layer of Typhus Corrosion for what I what I was going for, with the base set it was time to use the Nuln. Now, using the Nulin Oil required a mix of carefully applying it in the recesses of her hair, belly button, loose fluff, under-lining of her breasts and between her toes, the dark grey of her ears and tail required a decent layer of it and flowed insanely well as it went were I needed it to go with a little help plus a good layer on the base which worked amazing with the corrosion. Next we come to the silver for the spikes on her collar, a shine on the edge of her nose and highlights for her hair, for her eyes it just required a small peck of flag red and a dot of white for the more exposed one. The last part for the miniature was the highlighting, I used cool blue for her shirt just to give it a little shine and for her black clothes I highlighted with granite grey plus some edge-work, after that it was simply touching up the modal and the base.

Anyways I hope you guys like the modal, this was a ton of fun to do and there will be more to come as I missed painting and posting miniatures. I Know it is pretty surprising that I use craft paint, but it's just something that works for me but I do use the better quality shades and technical paint as they are very useful help a bunch.
