Description
This is Old Jeb using the shader from the previous tests. Old Jeb is an excellent model, even if he's not exactly pretty. Since I'm a bit short on time for complex pictures, I use the available render slots to do some more experiments.

The promo pictures are better than some, but the largest of them are only half size (i.e. a quarter of the pixel area) of this render, and I think I could have blown it up to full 4k using this setup. I recommend zooming in for details. It's really the hair that's having trouble keeping up - I did duplicate&shift the beard and brow while decreasing opacity to give it a fuller look.

Apart from this I took the merged PSSSFID & altern8 shader from the previous experiment, changed the brightness of the translucency color to above '1' by disabling the limits and converted it into a material preset and just loaded it onto the default Old Jeb character.

So actually all the work was to load the character and the light set, and then the material preset on top. Except for framing and presentation, there is absolutely not post work here. This is exactly the way the character came out of the shader, and I also let Iray stop at 95 % quality for a relatively quick render.

Next I'll try some normal sun sky or typical HDRI lighting situations.
