Description
And it may remain a work in progress for a while. This mask has a bit of a sad story. It began as a work of a lot of inspiration and happiness and then everything revolving around it fell apart, leaveing it in the state you see it now. It was intended to be part of a masquerade ball costume set, very light, very flowing and fun. It would (may) have clear irridescent crystals on it one day, we'll see if I am inspired to finish it in time. That said, Im very fond of this piece overall even though its unfinished. Paperclay, celluclay, plaster bandages.

This is such a gorgeous work.
I was wondering if you wouldn't mind my asking about how you shaped this mask, particularly the muzzle? I'm plotting a masquerade mask project with animal designs, and I've read about a lot of materials and techniques.
I'm just not quite sure how to build up muzzles, ears, antlers, that sort of thing.
I want my masks to be nice and smooth so I can paint on them and that sort of thing, as well.
Do you have any good tips for me as far as materials and techniques? I see you listed several media...
I've been following your dA for a while now, and I really enjoy all your work. Very creative, professional, and best of all, downright inspiring! Thanks in advance for any advice. <3
