Description
Just what the title says. I said i wanted to try and work on this this year and so i am. The base is cast in hard plastic instead of soft latex so i have better control over the jaw movement. It also allows me to make the base itself much much thinner that the previous latex and foam versions- the lighting is HORRIBLE in this instance because Im dealing with a lamp but under average light like daylight and convention lighting and most circumstances where larp is going on- this means better visibility of the eyes, wich is very important for these masks during wear to make them beleivable. Makeup around the eyes will complete the look. Will be available with necks and ears and everything else, but for my purposes I want to do a use-your-own hair and very minimal costume head with this one. It will have ears tho.
If you would like to see a video of the jaw moving, as well as me being awkward on camera, go Here: [link]

This looks like a great design - I just wish the photos were a bit larger. I really love the simplicity of it, it looks comfy, yet still very transformative.

I AM SO RIDICULOUSLY, STUPIDLY ENTHRALLED BY THE MASKS THAT MATCH YOUR JAW MOVEMENTS. I NEED TO GET ONE OF THOSE. xD

I think that this just as is is pretty awesome, haha. I'm sure neck fur and some ears would only be an improvement, but it's still cool how minimal it is. Mask looks great!

Thanks! yeah for larp purposes I try and keep my stuff reeeally really minimal because if theres too much going on or if it will result in hinterance of any of my senses or if it gets hot, that would be bad for 4 to 5 hours or more strait of wear. Also for lapr i dont need to make any "magic" i dont need fool nature, I just need to not look human so it works out well in that respect : )

At least for the USA you are most probably right...here in germany I'd get my ass kicked, if I would build masks for larp without neck fur or ears. XD
Great work though, looking forward to see the finished results.^^
By the way, it's allways good to build masks with no latex if possible...it does "funny" things when it ages sometimes.

Haha, that's pretty awesome. Also, checked out the video and the jaw sensitivity looks amazing! Kudos to you for that!

For a full mask with neck and everything (like a normal head build) they will start at around the same cost as the other method. Half masks and use your own hair masks without necks and stuff will be much cheaper. but I havent figured out exact priceing yet since this is so new.

I really like this design and have been looking for a good working jaw mask, I'll talk you you later once you're more familiar with this design.
