Description
Using black epoxy sculpt for the eyelids, lips and nostrils. Messy stuff. Taxidermy jaw set is from van dykes but i don't remember what cat it was.Tongue made from white epoxy sculpt mixed with colored sculpy clay.
In its bald state it looks fine, but I think the eyes are too deeply set. I should have popped them out more to compensate for the thickness of the fur. the epoxy dries really hard so it would be like chiseling a rock trying to pull those eyes out. (i tried)
ah well we shall see. . .

Hey this looks absolutely gorgeous. I just wanted to say, don't worry too much about the eyes being too deep inside the skull. Facial fur looks better after a good trim and if you look at, say, deer; they have very short facial fur. Just give it a good trim around the eyes and they will shine like they deserve to!

This is super exciting<3 because I am SO Sick of seeing "canine" or "feline" masks. SO SICK. I'm intending on making some sort of un-categorized monster blank and mask myself I can't wait to see how this turns out!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure. It's a cross between a deer, rabbit and cat. It'll probably have some fancy curvy horns too

The eyes are absolutely beautiful! Are they painted resin?

I used photoshop to edit and color the eyes, then i printed them out and hot glued them to the back of resin domes. (made with a paint tray.) i have another pic in my gallery focusing on just different eyes and more info on them

Neat, I really overlooked / misunderstood this picture. That is awesome, and so much easyer. Another question, do you know the difference between these resin-eyes in halfround-shaped, with the picture on the back, as you used them, and the rounder version with the eye painted on the round back? You know, two halfes glued together. Is it just that the "follow-me" effect is stronger?

yes I know the difference. In order to get the follow me effect the eye would have to be painted on the round back. The eye image on these are completly flat so there is no real noticable follow effect.

I know you heard this from us on the stream, but this is still so very cool. The eyes are great.
I'm still working on my mask (I got delayed) and now I am at a huge loss. I have some severe planning to do for the eyes, as it is rather confusing to apply it to the human shape and work your way out.
