please full view for details <3Ah, my girl Isolde. I needed a break from commissions (I've been putting way too much pressure on myself) and I needed a piece I could really relax with and enjoy. SO, since I haven't done art for Isolde in forever, I decided to practice some techniques and give her some new art to boot!
I spent almost two hours on the hair alone. Been working at this nonstop for the past 5 hours at least! I actually lost track of time I was enjoying myself so much, and I am very, very pleased with how it came out.
UPDATE: ignore the fact that i spent hours on this (with a JM full of people at several points) and didn't realize the fUCKING TIRE TRACKS UNTIL AFTER I UPLOADED IT lmao. live and learn, look for tire marks in the ground.

this has a very mythical feel to it, without overdoing it. The horn, eye and setting contribute to this feeling, and that's the perfect about to give it that mood without going all out. Your time spent on the hair was worth it, it's beautiful. The depth is perfect, but there is enough detail to make it look soft. I love the smooth prepping as well. This is all gorgeous, beautiful work.

I'm glad you did work for yourself too! I don't take commissions anymore because they just sap all my energy and my will to make work for me, which is a problem! So you definitely have my sympathies.
Isolde is such a pretty lady, and she is very striking against these red plains. <3333 love love love!

when I first created Isolde it was with this same stock, just a different pose. The stock actually has those markings. Color-wise, she's my easiest character to manip LOL
