And one year later, on your first anniversary after entering the library, you decide to meet up with a friend! You both have so much to talk about...

The 'true' ending. Depending on your feelings on having your mind tampered with by magical beings, this COULD be considered the worst ending for the surrounding town. But nobody's being made into books, and having your essence extracted isn't THAT terrible in the long run, so it's not thaaaaat bad.

The second section takes place a year after the first, if it wasn't obvious. And yes, the knight not having her sword IS due to me having trouble with generating anoher image that looked enough like her, but I did actually try to give her her sword at first. The thing is, NovelAI is REALLY bad at making images of people holding swords. I got a decent image of her holding her staff and sword, except she was holding the sword by a hilt on the point of the blade while her hand was at a very awkward angle, which just looked dumb. I messed around with editing the image, and eventually the image decided that the sword was actually her holding the staff, while what was the staff became a glowing orb. And honestly, I just really liked how her arm was posed there so much better, so I wrote the story around that image. Is that maybe a little cheaty? Possibly, but it looks good, and I did not want to spend valuable writing time trying to turn it back into a sword.
