The main inspiration for this is the musical connection Oliver and Yuma have, what with Oliver being the personification of an MP3 player, and the fact that Yuma likes to sing.
Storytime/art explanation: Oliver is a project left behind when a facility was forced to shut down many years ago. He was eventually discovered by Yuma, a young man who had been taking shelter in the abandoned laboratory. Though Yuma intended on making his stay temporary, he felt himself attached to the young man he had found, it was difficult to consider him a mere project. As such, they would spend the days taking small trips out to have Oliver grow accustomed to the city, and at night they would retreat back to the building, singing well into the morning. Over time the two formed a close bond, and were able to leave the facility altogether to find a place for their own, giving Yuma the companionship and home he'd always wanted, and for Oliver, a chance to experience life.
Hope you like your slice of angst hot with a side helping of eventual fluff. 8I I am so sorry if I have mistreated your OCs.
Thanks for hosting the competition guys, you all have really great OCs so it was difficult to pick who I would draw! Although I love Ollie very much so that made things slightly easier.
