I'm gonna cheer him on by doing one painting a week until he either wins or gets booted.

I picked this particular pose (reference from americanidol.com) because it was packed with stuff I could use more practice at (foreshortening and fabric), so I could get some dual-usage out of this blatant piece of fan art. The toughest part ended up being painting his kinda half-eyes-closed expression, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
