Psyches come in two types: The "Forsaken" and the "Anima". In general, Psyches are beings who do not have a body or heart, rather they are physical manifestations of certain aspects of a person's spirit or will, closer to a heartless and nobodies with earthbound feelings rather than human.

The difference between a 'Forsaken' and an 'Anima' depends on the side taken by the Ligering Will; The Forsaken are typically aligned with Darkness while The Anima are usually neutral or aligned with the Light.
