Description From top to bottom: Cretolamna appendiaulata, which resembled the sand tiger shark, and the bottom-dwelling shellfish-eater Ptychodus mortoni, which at 10 m was not only the largest hybodont shark but also one of the largest cartilageous fish ever found in the Western Interior Seaway.
