from Ch.20, tom riddle's visit to hepzibah's crib.just a sketch i ran some messy ink and colors over in OpenCanvas today. the locket is apparently emitting it's own light.. dunno what's up w/ that x). just playing around with shiney colors

well i had my first art class last year which helped SO MUCH.. i hadn't ever done figure drawing and man i improved.. but mainly my style has been just from looking at other internet artists.. getting influenced here and there

Interesting concept! That's not at all what I imagined Tom to look like, but it's a very original picture, even if you were just playing around. The hair = great. He will now forever be engrained upon my mind as to having hair like that.

Ha! Thats great. 
The eyes bother me a little. They're so far down in the sockets that he couldn't possibly be seeing the locket, for all that he's trying to. Then again, it's also very expressive, and I love the way he looks like he's afraid it's going to vanish from out of his hands if he actually tries to touch it. So, the jury in my head is still out on that.
However, the light on the chin is off. There would be a deep shadow in the clef of his chin, right before the highlight on the protrusion of the lip. More of a round shadow maybe? Dunno. The lightings is tricky, and I'd suggest a reference if I had one. :shrugs:
The right hand (his left) is a bit thick with the lines. If you faded some of them back, the hand would fit better with the rest of the picture.

ahhh yeah man the eyes were bothing me too! i think i was thinking that his head was more tilted back than it came out.. and plus i probably should have simply drawn his hand and locket higer up.. haha i guess i could be like "oh well he's in the process of holding it up higher.." x))
