Letting Hyuga walk ahead you turned to find Kiyoshi. Everyone jumped out of your way, they knew better then to annoy you when you entered kill mode.
The brunette never had a chance, taking him by surprised you yanked him, well did you best to move all 6’4” of him in the adjacent hallway.
Surprise turned to fear when you drilled your [ec] eyes in to his widen eyes.

“Why did you do that?” Not caring for harshness in your voice.
“hmm what did I do?” He tilted his moving some hair out of his face. ‘you have got to be kidding me ‘ knitting your eyebrows together you decided to make your point.
“Fourth quarter.” You barked “you took that elbow for me. I had it handled especially if you’re hurt.”

Ignoring the raging ball that was you he gave you a confused grin “Oooh that, it wasn’t a problem so no big deal right?”
Your eye formed an angry tick, seeing he was missing the point you jabbed your finger into his firm chest

“Then you should remember we agreed to trust each other, especially on the court.” you interrupted

“…and that was a mistake.” The lack of emotion in his normally cheery voice stilled your heart. For the first time since entering the hall you forced your eyes the leave his stoic face. Curtained by you [h.c] bangs you hide the tears that started to well in your eyes. That hand that you had forgotten on his chest trembles back down to your side. ‘how could he say that?’ The silence returned, but his words echoed loader than anything.
You quickly lurched backwards.
The sudden action caught Teppei’s attention. He looked down on your shaking form. Hearing his own words for the first time.

“Fine you don’t want to trust me that’s your problem, but do not mess with me on the court! ... you big idiot.” Whispering the last before you tore down the hall. Realizing you were leaving he reached after you to stop you, but even with his enormous arm span his fingers only grazed your wrist before you disappeared down the hall.
All you wanted was to be as far away from him as possible, but you were still new to the school so you’re not exactly keen to all the good hiding place, except maybe one.
The roof door swung, open and you retreated behind the vents. ‘I’m so stupid how could I….’ Tears streamed down your face, your body was numb. Trusting people was never easy, and no matters how prepared you thought you were this was not helping.

Hearing the door open again you covered your mouth hoping to muffle your sobs from whoever was there. It didn’t make a difference as the person walked around the corner.

“[y.n], [y.n] please don’t shut me out. That didn’t come out right.” Kiyoshi moved around and stood in front of you.
Blinking to see through your tears you could make out a very upset and blurry Kiyoshi. “What? It didn’t come across that you don’t think I can for the team!?” With a serious face he joined you in the small space kneeling beside you. He moved his hand to place it on your head. You leaned away from his touch, and his hand fell to your knee.

“I do trust you…-“ You whipped your head up ready to snap at his when he silenced you with his finger on your lips. Setting your face on fire. “please let me finish, you’re always so jumpy. I trust you, and I want you to trust me, so I’ll be honest I do regret something from that day.” The tears started to flow again, but didn’t fall to your lap like the rest. His hands on your lip glided across your gentle skin whipping them away. “but it’s not the reason you’re thinking.” He closed his eyes taking a deep breath to calm himself. “I regret losing to you.” Squeaking you found yourself wrapped into his arms, pulling you closer to him. “because it took away my excuse to talk to you.” You couldn’t break away from his hug so you relaxed in his arms.
“Kiyoshi you see me e-every day. I don’t un-understand.” His hands began to shack.
“And every time we see each other I could tell you were just waiting for me to break my promise. [y.n], I just want you to smile, or if you can’t smile tell me what’s wrong.” He paused. Unknown to you his face was heating up. “a-and I don’t want to see you hurt.” Your heart felt like it was just going to explode.
Teppei stood up standing you up in his arms. Loosening his grip you leaned back staring at his jacket. “Well, I d-don’t want to see you hurt either, because I n-need you.” You stopped, tilting back to look up at him. Kiyoshi blinked emotionlessly until he chuckled. “really?” Your eyes widened ‘shit did I miss read this.’
His hands moved to your cheecks. “Me too.” He pressed his lips to yours. They were surprising soft. He stepped forward causing you lean back, until he broke the kiss. Staring at him you moved your hand to your lips completely shocked.

“So is it fair if I ask one more question?” he asked with a big smile.

“Uh sure.” He grabbed your hand.

“Could I get that rematch game to 20, but this time I want to play against my girlfriend?” returning his smile you jumped onto your toes and kissed his check.

“I wouldn’t miss it, but let’s make it 30.”
After catching up with the rest of the team, who didn’t seem surprised to see the two of you walk in together hand in hand. They were just more impressed that Kiyoshi wasn’t bleeding or bruised. Smiling ear to ear he waved to Hyuga.

“Took you two long enough.”
