Congrats on the DD
new year, anticipation, art theives, features.Alright well now that it's 2016 and the Holiday season is (finally) over we can get back to business! The business of making art! Currently in my life it has been a bumpy couple of weeks with some potholes in the road. If you know what I mean I'm saying these potholes may have punctured my tires but after a little stress and decisions to be made, I'm back in motion. I'm speaking metaphorically of course, that my life is about to pick up again soon, as I've been able to free up some time in my busy schedule. I haven't been out shooting in a couple weeks! I do bring one of my cameras with me usually wherever I go but still been having photo block lately. Mostly just because of the rain, cold, darkness of the dead of winter, and my busy schedule. I've hardly been shooting at all since the Portland trip! This makes me very sad but I know that I'm about to become photographically active again. I realize that I beat myself up a little too much for not always taking pictures but I suppo

Yeah, that's how I first noticed it. Is that how the shot was achieved?

Is there a skill difference between slack lines and ropes?Β It seems there would be but both require extraordinary balance.

Slacklining is very common in the rock climbing community. I've never heard of anyone trying to use a rope, but climbing ropes are dynamic (which means they stretch) so they would be pretty bad for walking on. It takes some practice, but you can be halfway decent in a few days or a week.

Oh, what a great spot for shooting! Without the guys on the left hand side, the slack line would be almost invisible. Maybe shot for 1 ft lower, you could have the guy walking on the edge of water!

That other character walked on water and that would be too controversial.... haha. Β I'm afraid I am too much of an observer when I make pictures and lack the skill to add a sense of humor, as you do so well!
