Description
A preliminary sprite sheet for my brother's main project.My brother has decided to do a fan version of Cave Story featuring what happened before the main story.
The main character is going to be a Mimiga which are cute little bunny things. His name is Arthur and he actually has relevance to the original story, so my brother's been researching what exactly he did.
I also included sprites and dialogue portrait for the main antagonist, Miakkid. He was around before the original story at the same time as Arthur and they supposedly fought.

I made these using a different method than the Ship sprites. I used 2x2 pixels instead of the normal 1 pixel because my brother doesn't know how to zoom in and fullscreen the games yet.
Plus, I personally think it makes it look better.
I threw in a bunch of random swords that he might use and a couple of joke ones. Buster sword, Masamune, Crowbar, and a few of my own.
Arthur and Miakkid are (C) to PIXEL, the creators of Cave Story
The weapons all belong to their respective owners.
The sprites, however, are mine. If you want to use them please ask before you do.

Its a cool idea, and i like Arthurs dash attack. I dont like how Arthur looks though. He looks extremly generic. He looks almost like Kanapachi.
I also had a idea for a preqel for Cave Story, but i never put it to use.

If I'm to be honest, Miakid's face looks either like M.Bison.
Anyways, maybe a Wii sprite of this would be better. owo

Because they came to the island before Miakidd had been vanquished, to destroy the core and jazz, but Miakidd had severely damaged them, so I guess their systems crashed and had to reboot. Presumably, while that happened, Arthur took on Miakidd successfully defeating him. After that the doctor shows up, takes power, kills Arthur, and afterwards curly and quote are reactivated.
But this is just a thoery, made from prior knowledge of the game.

Also arthur need to have red eyes because he ate red flowers.

The Story never says or portrays that he ate the red flower... it just says he was killed by the Doctor not miakkid, so he must've defeated him.

While I have no intention of using this sprite sheet , I just wanted to inform you that I intend to learn how to make a similar style to it by using it as a sort of reference, I think the 2x2 info you mentioned could be extremely helpful too, allows more detail I believe.
