Not only are the details breathtaking it really instills a sense of danger and dread. The details on the fire and the faery stand out especially. It really feels like they're giving off light.

Great use of color and light to create a really ominous, tense scene! I can really feel a sense of story in this, and the sense that something will happen in just a moment. Really love the little details in this, like the hint of green at the base of the torch being the same color as the little fairy creature--wonderful story telling in a single image--and those eyes in the back! Really wonderful for such a short amount of time spent on it.

Hey MakingPicsSlowly, really enjoying seeing these paintings from the theme challenge. The storytelling in them is great. Just wondering if you plan out the idea first and how? Like with thumbnails and such

Hey Madnine, If you watch the video process for this picture you'll probably see that I don't have a clear picture in mind when I start, and just sort of build off the word from the challenge. But pretty much all the credit goes to my imagination, I just draw the first thing that comes to mind when I think of the word "dark"!
