Description
Raven Guard Space Marine armor. No helmet though. I wore this to Comic-Con 2009 in San Diego. I wouldn't have been able to see or breath in a helmet, but I think once I build an armor stand (and find somewhere to fit this thing in my house) I'll make a helmet though. The whole thing is cardboard, paper mache, and some random stuff I found at home depot. I'll explain all the details in other shots.
This photo was taken by some guy at Time Magazine but I mean, I made the thing, so here's the link in case he stumbles upon this and gets uppity about it:

Awesome job! I'm thinking of building my own set of armor out of paiper mache and this is giving me some inspiration.

Haha yeah, by the time I really got into it I had to start working twelve hour days. I was going to use foam crack filler, shape it, coat it in resin then sand and paint, but the only way to finish this in time was to go cardboard. I only had about an hour a night to work on it. Me and a friend at work are starting two new suits using a vaccuu-form table to shape plastic. That'll be ready in 2011. I'll probably wear this again next year but I might fix the legs up. Thanks very much though, appreciate the advice!

Not sure if you'd seen your pictures on Flickr, but KPBS has a pretty good picture of your costume:
