I'm sure Zelos would let you hug and pet his bunbun! But Yohkira is a bit cautious about letting people touch Pudding, because it was his father's favorite fox, and he's very special to him

The reason why Zelos puts an eye patch on Farlan is because when he found him when he was a tiny bun, he had only one eye. Tsuyoichi, whom Zelos lives with and has a crush on, wears an eye patch because she also only has one eye. So, Zelos puts an eye patch on Farlan, and makes sure every day he has a fresh one!
