Year eight!
There was a lot of talk this year about what the game would be for our anniversary art, between my wife and I. For a while it looked like we were going with Star Wars: The Old Republic since we played that together for a short burst. Mind you it was pretty much the only game we played in co-op this year.
The more I thought about it though, I realized my favorite gaming moments this year has been standing behind Jes, rubbing her neck or scratching her head while she played the game I was working on, Slime Rancher. Something very satisfying about watching her discover the game with fresh eyes while I watched. It also serves as an important game for me as this is the year I left my previous job of ten years to follow my dream of going indy with some talented folk.

Art wise, this is probably my favorite piece so far. I tried some new techniques with this one. Sort of a combination of my painting style of recent with some more of my traditional cell shading of old. All in all, a fun time was had drawing it.
