Description

The original Itami was written as Nikko's father, who he met twice. The original Itami was a good man until he and Obsidian slayed a fallen angel. The blood of that angel got into Itami's mouth and he developed an addiction. It also made his personality vanish, until he was nothing but a puppet to his own thirsts. He killed Obsidian to gain her power. Then he had Nikko to bring him the 12 angels within the story, all of whom were not true angels, but scientifically created. However, Nikko decided that it was wrong and in the end tried to help them, so Itami killed him.
The Itami here is almost opposite of that one, so far. He was instead gifted with immortality by an angel, along with Obsidian. The gift made his heart seek to wipe out impurity, so he removed it, along with Obsidian's. He seems to care about his son, but his first duty is to the Hunters. He seems to have become less caring, though, since Obsidian's flashback. I think he might still end up being a villain. And he will definitely want revenge on Yuri for killing Obsidian.
