Receiver was hatched and raised in the rain forest. Her twin sister, Listener, was a mind reader, and absorbed the moons powers to read minds instead of seeing the future.
She always saw futures. Every time she met a knew dragon, their lives would literally flash before her eyes. It was exhausting, and made her tired and nervous.
When she was five she went to Jade Mountain Academy, and met Princess Hurricane, and that was when everything changed.
Hurricane was Princess Tsunami's youngest dragonet, but since she was busy with the school and Riptide was busy with the Talons of Peace, she had Queen Auklet, Hurricane's aunt, raise her and her siblings.
Receiver saw two paths for this dragon.
One were her sister, Princess Current, became queen, ruled peacefully for years, and passed it onto her daughter. In that path, Hurricane had a low key life. She had a husband she adored and three funny little dragonets. In that path, Current was nice to her. In that path, Hurricane was beloved.
In the other path, however, she wasn't so good.
In that path, Current still became queen, but Hurricane was blood thirsty. In that path, Hurricane became deranged. Needy for love and attention.
Tired, and sad, and scared, and angry.
In that path, she still had a husband, but they didn't have a happy relationship. In that path, she only had one daughter, who hatched right before Hurricane's brutal end.
Despite these futures, Receiver was drawn to Hurricane.
She was funny, friendly, and seemed to have a interest in Receiver.
They became fast friends.
Yeats go by, and when it was time to leave Jade Mountain. Hurricane offers Receiver a place to stay in the Sea Kingdom. Receiver agrees, seeing that it would be a good way to keep her eyes on her and guide her to the bright futures.
At the welcome party, however, everything changes, and she meets the love of her life;
Coast.

Coast was the daughter of a pearlier and one of former Queen Coral's many many sons.
She never had any interest in ruling, or even being royal.
She always wanted to have a quiet life. She wanted to move to one of the outer islands, get married, have dragonets, and settle down.
That was always her plan. But, it changed when she was 10 and met Receiver at a welcome party.
The two really hit it off, and became best friends. Receiver found herself forgetting all of the bad futures when she was around coast, and Coast found herself forgetting all of her life's plans.
Coast saw adventure in Receiver, and Receiver saw comfort.
When Receiver had horrific visions, Coast was always right there to support her.
When Hurricane went mad, Coast was there to protect Receiver and all if the other royals.
Coast and Receiver married, and, after Hurricane's death, raised her daughter together to be the next queen.
