Description
Another one of my desert riders, but not in the traditional clothes. This is one of the nomadic merchants, who don't spend a lot of time actually living in the desert, and so they don't need all the protective clothing.
Behind the girl is a random sketchy drawing of the basic look of the Desert Rider's tents...

About the gems:
On the last desert rider pic there were gems, but they glowed orange. Within the desert where these people live, there are deep underground caves, mostly hidden by the sand. Within those caves can be extracted a mineral they call Izindiir, or Glowgems in the common toungue. This mineral glows when in contact or close to a living creature. The colour of the gem is determined by the personality, or soul of the person who touches it. Gems change colour as they pass from one person to the other, and no-one is able to wear two gems of different colours.
These gems are a rarity outside the desert kingdom, and are worth a lot in the Weastern and Eastern kingdoms.

The statue of the Desert people's gods are usually made of pure black onyx stone, intricately veined with Izindiir. After someone prays to a god's statue, they come close to it and touch it, which makes the patterns glow the same colour as the person's glowgems. It's beleived that this action represents the god's blessing upon the worshipper...
