Description
Those little things hanging on her spear are corks. I got this hot tip, from a reliable source, on my last drawing, that they keep the flies away.Related content

I COULD definately see the utility of the wine corks since wine is going to have a very pungent odor and is based out of a process of decay which flies are drawn to as part of their make up and also a means to eventually lay their pupa.

This is really cool. I love the pose and the expression on her face. I also like the composition - despite the fact that this is a rather stagnant pose your use of white space and the concentration of "weight" to the bottom left of this piece really makes it pop.

I do envy some folks that seem to be able to find complete satisfaction in sticking to one subject in one style. I think it really makes their art solid.
