Tried pushing my tablet a bit...I sketched this all on photoshop, which was... interesting to say the least, and certainly took a while. Im thinking about giving him a body but.. the thought is somewhat daunting....
I stretch my wings out one last time
Upon the ember skies
Where burdens deep and heavy lie
From all the years gone by.
Lives have passed, and lives have died
Mountains fall and rise
But dragon hearts will always soar
In blazing ember skies.
Kin have faded all away
One by one they died
I saw their ends, I saw their pain
And heard them how they cried
So now I, too, will fade away
Into the ember skies
With wings of grief upon the winds
I'll sing my last goodbyes.

This is about the closest Ive ever seen to a real dragon.....other then those ones that talk to me and live in my Ramen D...lol...its awesome^_^

what picture program did you use for this? i cant figure out how you made your lines so nicely without drawing it with pen and scanning it! because it dosnt look setchy like most of the really nice uncolored pictures
btw if you ever do color it id really like to see it

That's beautiful; it doesn't need a body. All of the emotion and detail on the face would get lost in the detail of the body. Such a poignant piece, and it's a pretty, haunting poem.

Gah, as tedious a task as you said this was, it turned out incredible. I absolutely love the pose of that head. Wonderful work on the detail, especially in the skin of the head and fin. Definately a +fav.

Did your tablet make them look like that though? Smooth and sketchy? Because your lines don't look anything but smooth; not rigid or messy. Just curious.

Well I just used my tablet in the way I would use a pencil when I sketch. Press quite lightly (tablet is pressure sensitive) and just sketch. The brush was small compared to the canvas.

So, you draw on your tablet, and it comes up like that on the comp? Cool! But how do you erase the drawing on your tablet, since it's pressure sensitive. [Sorry for all the questions]
