Okay, so I've been practicing digital coloring a bit, and here's my latest effort, for this month's IDW contest: Circuit Breaker, guest-starring Jazz and Wheeljack. Line art [link] is by the super-talented , so all kudos go to him.The contest is here: [link]

I think I did a reasonable job, considering how little experience I have, and I had a lot of fun doing it.

I, too, am amazed that this was only practice for you, as it was my second favorite entry in the contest. I like the dark menace of it - it seems like her energy is gathering strength ominously instead of in the midst of full throes yet (though poor Wheeljack still caught some of it).
I look forward to seeing what you enter in the future contests.

Thank you! I really liked this piece as line-art, and thought that she looked rather malevolent. I wanted to reinforce that, as well as the fact that she's just getting started. I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for the fave on it 
I'm not entering anything this month unfortunately... too much else is happening in my life, notably the end of term exams and papers. But hopefully in the future!

Well, I'm in the process of learning how to use photoshop, and I think I've finally got the layer thing down pat. This is the second pic I've done, so yeah, not too much experience.

Wow that looks GREAT!
I especially like the lightning-bolt-thingies - the glow around them is nifty. And the shadows and lighting in general look swell and are very effective I think.
Its very pleasing to look at overall, I'm not sure what the technical term would be, but it doesn't seem either too bright or too dark...what would you call that...?

Awww, thanks Prowl! I think it could use a bit more contrast myself, but it's way better than it was! When I first started, all my colours were very washed out. It took me a while before I could bring myself to make it as dark as it is... I just need to be more confident with contrasts I think.

Ooh purple lightning and poor Wheeljack. Nice. Too bad we don't see more of CB in the official fiction, but Marvel has her buttoned up tight. You have a great eye for color, Soundie.
