With Twilight Day of Equestria Daily (August 7th) approaching, I made some little (literally, the pieces of wood I make these on are a mere 5cm x 7cm) little pyrographies of the princess of friendship.Related content

How are you able to create such detail and precision on only a very small space? You did awesome with the Twilight pyrographs.

I guess it is mostly a matter of practice. I have a tendency to draw very small when I draw on paper and I guess it is similar when I make pyrographies.
Quite frequently this is not a good thing only though. Sometimes I really need to remind / force myself to draw larger for otherwise details would be lost or crammed too much. One of my most common mistake when drawing ponies is an inclination to make the heads too small (when drawing digitally I often end up enlarging the completed heads by 10% to 20% to make the proportions right.
