A late night update with the April poll result... just a few days before April ends. It counts!

This month's theme was about what-if forms, and the one for Malika was about what she might've used in combat while training for the Genesis Driver - we saw Duke in a Sengoku Driver in Gaim Gaiden Vol.2, and Zangetsu became Zangetsu-Shin, so it makes sense to explore.

"But!" I hear you ask, "Didn't you MAKE a Peach Arms? Wouldn't that make sense here? DUKE THOUGH!"

Yes, yes, and no. It absolutely makes sense to do, but I also think it'd be a little too paint-by-numbers, not totally interesting enough for this poll, y'know? A lot of these what-ifs would've been new territory for me to tackle, ways to think outside the box, so I decided that it would be more interesting if Malika went for something different beforehand.

So I'm gonna pull an Akira Toriyama here and say that, in my own Gaim fanfiction, Malika would've trained with Cranberry Arms, as it's a Chinese style form (therefore matching her suit style), and it has a weapon that she would definitely be good with. And if you were interested, Sigurd probably had Lime Arms. Gets used to a heavy weapon so he can wield a lightweight bow with ease.

Unlike Duke in Lemon Arms, though, I followed the logic of Zangetsu-Shin and reverse-engineered how the suit would have probably looked with a Sengoku Driver, pulling from Ryugen's suit. Removed the piping on the helmet and made the lenses less pointed. Sengoku Driver also has no faceplate because hey this is a temporary thing for a Yggdrasill employee - no need to tie it to the user since it will remain in-house. That was also my headcanon logic for the Genesis Driver rules.

And now I rest! The next poll will be on May 2nd and it's a similar theme, because this was a fun idea!
