Hoo boy, late as ever. But here we are! November's theme was to be female hero protecting someone relevant to them. This was the first time Ride-Player Nico was on the poll and I probably should've expected an immediate win. Y'all love your Ex-Aid and so do I. So here we have her saving Taiga from trouble! I specifically wanted these to be helmetless shots as well, because why not?Small bit of transparency that's probably also gonna sound like an excuse, I actually had a rough time finding a good time to work on this because I figured I'd do it all in one sitting for a video. It was gonna have some commentary and everything. The program ended up freezing and crashing during the inking process and I never got a recording out of it, so that was a bit of a waste. I ended up working on other stuff out of frustration. One of these days I'll be able to do one of those types of videos.
Small aside, after Nico won this poll, I got to thinking about how it's kinda weird (to me, anyway, as someone who keeps up with terminology in the franchise) that there are more than a few people who think that Nico is a Rider, when the franchise today has clear and cut rules of "If their name has Kamen Rider in it then they're a Kamen Rider", but I digress. I also realize I could've just added her into the poll as Snipe since that happened in the Final Stage show. But the reason I had Ride-Player Nico on the poll at all, as an honorary non-Rider, is because she got to be a female hero without being a Rider, and that's something the Girl Riders picture series is all about: Empowering female characters instead of having them be pushed to the sidelines.
Anyway, sorry for the late pic again! December poll starts tomorrow!

I'm aware of Riderman, which is why I specifically said that the rules for what is considered a Rider are more clear these days. The bottom line is that anything in the Heisei era-onward that has "Kamen Rider" in their name is a Rider, and anything that doesn't is just considered Rider-like. This is why they now refer to Another Agito as Kamen Rider Another Agito.
The official "wiki", Kamen Rider Zukan , makes things confusing by lumping Riders and Rider-like entities together for convenient browsing, but they have explained their stance here - in a nutshell, the Zukan tries to provide clarity on what counts and what does not, and they have a simple way of telling: The Rider's name is shown behind them if they're a Rider.
