OK so im going through a LOTR phase right now... Thats not such a bad thing - is it?Well whether this phase has come a few years too late or right on time - i have no idea!
This is Balrog - one of my 'favourite' characters u could say.
Acrylics on Canvas.
I guess im happy with how he looks but i know i could have done better - just could have put a bit more effort into it and more detail but i was being lazy!

I think what i like the most is the controlled chaos of it. The contours aren't even and even feel slightly haphazard---but it works seamlessly with the mood of the piece. It's a fuckin' Balrog, after all, so of course it would seem that way, what with all the hellfire and such

This is a really amazing piece of work. Your forte is really in using paints and colour, methinks... 
And there's definitely nothing bad about going through an LotR phase...
